Cloud 9 buys Mid-Town Catalogue
Cloud 9 has acquired the Mid-Town catalog. Mid-Town started in 1987 and grew to one of the leading record labels in the 90’s.
The catalogue contains over 3000 masters including all Paul Elstak hits like “Rainbow in the sky” and “Promised Land” Other massive hits are “Greece 2000” 3 Drives on a vinyl, “Waterverve” Mark van Dale, “Access” Dj Misjah and DJ Tim.
Other big names from the catalogue are Klubbheads, DJ Jean, Ultimate Seduction and Albion.
Cloud 9 acquired before Combined Forces, Fundamental, United Recordings and White Villa. Cloud 9 Music was founded in 2004 by managing director and co-owner Raymond van Vliet. Besides the record division Cloud 9 has a publishing division including a Benelux joint venture with Chrysalis, compilation division with 20% market share and share in US label Napith.
